What init.ro0t is, in the time it takes to read one screen.
What this is
init.ro0t is a token launchpad on HyperEVM, the EVM chain of Hyperliquid. Anyone can create a new token in one transaction for 0.02 HYPE. The whole supply of every token (1,000,000,000 tokens) is placed into a HyperSwap liquidity position at launch, and the position is locked forever. Nobody, including the creator and the ro0t team, can take that liquidity out.
A launchpad is a site that creates tokens and gives them a market on day one. The market here is a bonding curve: a simple rule that makes the price go up as people buy and down as people sell. There is no order book and no market maker. You always trade against the same locked pool.
The life of a token
- 1Launch
A creator names the token, uploads an image, and signs one transaction. Trading opens in the same block. Launching a token.
- 2Pre-bond trading
Everyone buys and sells through the init gateway. For the first 60 seconds a sniper guard (an extra fee that starts high and fades to zero) makes bot front-running unprofitable. Buying & selling.
- 3Bonding
When 100 HYPE of net buying has gone into the curve and stayed there for 10 minutes, the token is bonded. The gateway steps aside and the token trades directly on HyperSwap like any other token. Bonding.
- 4Fees flow back
Every trade pays a fee. It is split on-chain between the creator, RO0T stakers and the protocol treasury, with no human in the middle. Creator earnings, Staking RO0T.
The numbers that matter
| Thing | Value |
|---|---|
| Supply per token | 1,000,000,000 (1B), all in the pool at launch |
| Starting FDV | 30 HYPE (the whole supply valued at the opening price) |
| Launch fee | 0.02 HYPE plus gas |
| Trading fee before bonding | 1.25% of what you send (0.25% gateway + 1% pool) |
| Trading fee after bonding | 1% (HyperSwap pool only) |
| Sniper guard | extra 48.75% at second 0, fading to 0 at second 60, buys only |
| Bond target | 100 HYPE net into the curve, then a 10 minute confirmation |
| Bond deadline | 30 days, after which an unbonded token is unlocked instead |
Every one of these is a constant inside the contracts. There is no admin function that changes them. The full list is on Fees, exactly.
A token launched two minutes ago, so the sniper guard is over. You send 1 HYPE.
0.0025 HYPE is the gateway fee. 0.9975 HYPE goes to the HyperSwap pool, which keeps 1% of it (0.009975 HYPE) as the pool fee. The remaining 0.987525 HYPE buys tokens from the curve.
Because you are early, 0.9875 HYPE moves the curve from 30 HYPE FDV to about 32 HYPE FDV and you receive about 31.9 million tokens, or 3.19% of the supply. The bond progress bar moves from 0 to 0.99 of 100 HYPE.
Who this documentation is for
- Traders: read Buying & selling and Bonding. That is enough to use the site safely.
- Creators: read Launching a token and Creator earnings.
- RO0T holders and investors: read RO0T token and Staking RO0T.
- Engineers and auditors: Contracts, Security & audits, Whitepaper.
Tokens launched here are created by anonymous users. A token being on init.ro0t means its liquidity is locked and its fees are split on-chain. It does not mean the token, its creator or its community are trustworthy, and it does not protect you from the price going to nearly zero. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
Today the site runs on HyperEVM testnet (chain id 998). Testnet HYPE has no value. Mainnet (chain id 999) contracts are not deployed yet; addresses will appear on Contracts when they are.
